Here we will be looking at the overall functionality of this page and what you can do. If you're setting up your first campaign or adding a new campaign to your account, the Create a Campaign section of our Getting Started Guide will help you through this process.
The Campaign Manager gives you an at-a-glance overview of all your campaigns.
If you have multiple campaigns you can use the top search bar to search for a campaign by name or use the status drop-down to only view campaigns with a specific status, for example, if you just want to see your active campaigns.
Let's first look at the overview of information given for a campaign in this view, using the example below:
1. Campaign Details: Campaign name, with the name of the user who created the campaign and the creation date below.
2. Import Prospects Progress Bar: Shows how many prospects are Awaiting Engagement; prospects that have been imported into your campaign, but that haven't received your first email yet, Engaged; prospects that have started receiving emails from your campaign, Total; the sum of Awaiting Engagement and Engaged, so you can see what your total prospect data size is.
3. Emails: Shows how many emails have been sent for the campaign, and what the average number of emails per prospect is.
4. Opens: This shows the total number of emails opened, and what this is as a percentage (formula: emails opened / emails delivered * 100).
5. Clicks: This shows the total number of emails where link(s) have been clicked, and what this is as a percentage (formula: number of email(s) clicked / emails delivered * 100)
Total clicks are per email, so if someone clicks 4 different links in an email, or the same link twice in an email, this would count as 1 total click. However, if someone receives 4 emails from you and they click on links in 2 of those emails, this would count as 2 clicks.
Clicks do not include unsubscribe link clicks but will include clicks on any other links within your email e.g. links in your signature, including social media buttons.
6. Responses: This shows the number of prospects that have replied to your emails, and what this is a percentage (formula: (leads + declines) / prospects engaged * 100).
7. Leads: This shows the number of prospects that have replied to your emails as a lead, and what this is a percentage (formula: leads / prospects engaged * 100).
8. Status: This shows the status of the campaign - we'll look at different campaign statuses in a moment.
Now we know what information about a campaign we can see in this view, let's look in more detail at the Status and Actions columns, using the screenshot below:
1. Status: Active - This status shows a campaign is active, if there are available prospects then the campaign will be actively sending emails during the campaigns schedule. Below the status, you will be able to see when the campaign was last updated.
2. Status: Scheduled - This status shows a campaign is due to activate on a future date, if there are available prospects then the campaign will start sending on the specified start date. Below the status, you will be able to see when the campaign was last updated.
3. Status: Paused - This status shows a campaign has been active but is now paused and no emails are being sent. Below the status, you will be able to see when the campaign was last updated.
4. Status: Draft - Campaign has not been activated. You can see the progress of the campaign set up across Messaging, Scheduler, and Audiences. If a campaign has one or two of these complete it will display 1/3 or 2/3 in pink, indicating setup is not complete. If a campaign has all three components complete this will show 3/3 in blue, indicating the campaign is ready to activate. 5. Action: Pause - Press this button to pause all sends on Active or Scheduled campaigns.
6. Action: Activate - Activate (or re-activate!) and campaigns that have all setup stages complete, or that have been paused.
7. Action: Activate (not available) - Where campaign setup is not complete the activate button is not available. Complete the remaining setup to activate the campaign.
8. More Actions (three dots icon): Archive - Use the three dots button to archive your campaign and remove it from the default Campaign Manager view. This is a great way to keep this area tidy and remove campaigns you are no longer running from here.
Once you have archived a campaign, the only way to view this is to select Archived from the status search in Campaign Manager:
From the Archived campaigns view, you can still view the campaign details the same as in the default view, as well as clicking directly into the campaign to view settings and more detailed reporting.
In the Actions column, you have the option to unarchive the campaign and move it back into your default view as status Draft 3/3. From here you can again activate the campaign to start sending.
